The Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) is the oldest sovereign wealth fund in the world was founded in 1953. KIA invests in real estate and wide array of sectors in order to maximize the return on its fund.
Looking at Crunchbase profile we could track 4 investments KIA has made in 2015 and 2014 and they are:
1-Alkem Laboratories round $60 Million Dec, 2015:
Alkem is a publicly listed drug maker in India it makes anti-diabetic, anti-malarial, cardiovascular, immunosuppressants, nutraceuticals and pain management products, among others. It claims to be the top player in the domestic market for anti-infectives and has a strong position in gastrointestinal and analgesic segments.
2- Apttus :round $108M / Series C (Lead) Sep, 2015:
Apttus enterprise-class software drives the vital business process between the buyer’s interest in a purchase and the realization of revenue. Delivered on Salesforce Platform, Apttus’ Quote-to-Cash solutions increase sales and maximize visibility and control. Tyba has changed the way corporates take on junior talents. Tyba platform give companies access to its database of junior talent using its SAAS recruiting tools. The company HQ is in Madrid Spain.
4- NantHealth round $320M / Series B (Lead) in cot.2014 and round $135M / Private Equity in May 2014:
