American Government Backed Wamda Capital Raises $55.7 Million For New VC Fund For The Arab World
Wamda Capital which is backed by the American government has raised a $55.7 million venture fund to invest in the Arab world, according to an SEC filing. The target for Wamda MENA Ventures I is $75 million. The money has come from 26 LPs, the filing shows.
Wamda chairman is the Jordanian Fadi Ghandour founder of Aramex and its CEO is Lebanese Habib Haddad.
