Google is shutting down its Arabic Q&A site Ejabat, in a message posted on the site, google said it won’t accept answers and questions after 23 of next month however questions asked before that date and the answers on it will be available for web surfers.

We asked google around 2 weeks ago about this decision but we got no answer we will try to ask again, however on the page announcing this event, google said the reason is that in emerging markets where it had Q&A sites, many local content sites in the local languages has emerged so the need for a local Q&A site is not anymore a viable product.

Google Ejabat was google’s first pure Arabic product, it was launched in sep, 2009 as AC was first to report the event.
