Hanan Abdel-Meguid CEO Egypt’s Largest Digital Group OTVentures Stepping Down
Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding S.A.E. (“OTMT”) and its fully owned subsidiary OTVentures (“OTV”) which is the largest digital group in Egypt and a major Internet player in the Arab world announced today that Hanan Abdel-Meguid, Chief Executive Officer of OTV, has decided to step down from her current executive position and submitted her resignation to the Board of Directors. She will continue to assume all responsibilities of her current position until March 31st, 2014. The Board has approved the nomination of Fadi Antaki as the successor to this position and the shareholders have approved his appointment at the Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) held on February 2nd, 2014.
OTMT and OTV have extended their gratitude to Hanan Abdel-Meguid for being a part of the senior management team which was instrumental in the development and execution of the Group’s strategy.
Fadi Antaki is a seasoned digital and technology veteran who brings with him a wealth of senior management and leadership experience. He enjoys more than 17 years’ experience of shaping strategic thinking and encouraging partnerships and collaborations in the fields of technology and telecommunications. His career with the Group spans 14 years, most recently as Vice President Commercial, when he was tasked in 2011 to set and drive the strategic direction of the commercial organization and introduce new value added business opportunities. In this role, he also directed all aspects of the company’s commercial and business development policies, objectives and initiatives across all markets. At the time, he combined this responsibility with his work as ARPU+ Managing Director.

Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding is owned by Egyptian Christan Najeeb Sawares who was criticized for his anti-Islam comments.
