L’Oréal Paris launches its first e-commerce platform in the Middle East with Mooda.com

5 Dec, 2013

This autumn, L’Oréal Paris launches its first e-commerce platform in the Middle East in partnership with the exclusive online fashion store Mooda.com, where they will make their L’Oréal Paris product line available for customers in the U.A.E.

The idea is to offer the total look as beauty plays such a big part in fashion. Online shoppers will be able to browse and buy make-up on the website. A new beauty section will sit alongside the fashion category, so visitors can shop for both loves at one destination, where beauty-meets-fashion.

The site blends a mix of content and commerce with a proprietary ”Get the look” feature in one click, which allows customers to buy all the make-up products required for that look from foundations, eye shadows, lipsticks, to nail polish. Customers can purchase and recreate the beauty looks inspired by a number of L’Oréal Paris’ brand ambassadors, such as Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, Laëtitia Casta and others.

“As a top beauty brand sold in retail stores, L’Oréal Paris makes the most innovative products accessible to everyone. With an increasing amount of consumers shopping online, it is certainly a channel we will be focusing more on. We chose Mooda.com because of their expertise in beauty and fashion. With their help, we are confident we can provide considerably more flexible, functional and effective solutions to our customers” commented Laurent Duffier General Manager Consumer Product Division – L’Oréal Middle East

The platform operates Arabic and English interface and goes beyond simple e-commerce: custom fittings in main GCC cities personalization, styling tips with experts, worldwide shipments and a payment platform. Mooda’s customer care is also here to answer all your questions at any time.

“More than just an e-commerce platform, the brand will use the editorial content of the “get the look” concept along with the shopping experience providing the consumer with the best online service. This collaboration with Diwanee Media Company allows L’Oréal Paris to offer the customer a 360 digital experience and better analyze our ROI on our online activities,” added Affif Kadri, Digital Manager at L’Oréal Middle East.

“We are delighted to collaborate with L’Oréal Paris and to offer a unique, curated shopping experience for our customers in the region. Beauty is such a big part of fashion! We consider that it is a unique differentiator to offer beauty and fashion together and educate our visitors not only on which dress or shoes to buy to get the look, but the nail polish and lipstick as well.” commented Delphine Eddé, Partner and Creative Director at Diwanee Media Company.
