Palestinian Hacker who posted on Facebook CEO’s Timeline Hired
Unemployed Khalil Shtreateh the Palestinian IT security expert who posted on facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg wall to bring attention to a security bug he found has found a new job as he was hired by crowed investment platform Eureeca.
Shreateh became somewhat of a hero for security experts and the Arab and Palestinian geek community. A crowdfunding campaign in his name has enabled people from across the globe to donate over $13,000 on GoFundMe as a reward for discovering the flaw.
By joining Eureeca Khalil Shreateh will use his social media and digital expertise to help support growth stage SMEs looking to crowdinvest on Eureeca by hosting a series of workshops and clinics in the UAE as well as webinars for the wider regional business community.
In a blog post Eureeca team welcomed Shreateh by saying “ We feel that Khalil is a prime example of Middle Eastern creativity and he will in turn help fuel the growth and innovation of various homegrown businesses throughout the region. This is an exciting time for us, and we hope that we can nurture the local and global entrepreneurial spirit with him on our dream team.”

Shreateh from a town close to Hebron was unemployed for a while, though this hiring is good news for him. It is not the optimal job for s security guy. As it would be more fit if he can work with a security team with any company.
