Masmoo3, the Jordanian startup that publishes audiobooks has launched its android app to allow users to buy, download, and listen to Arabic audiobooks on their Android devices.

The app has “Promotional Bundles” for a small part of Masmoo3’s audiobooks catalog. The bundles include 53 audio stories for kids, 9 Poetry audiobooks, 3 Literature audiobooks, 3 Islamic audiobooks, and 3 Self-Help audio books.

The new app allows users to listen to many free audio samples and use Google Wallet payment for in-app purchase to buy the paid audiobooks. Then, users can download and play the audiobooks inside the app

The app is free and has several features such as:
– The user can add Bookmarks to save the time where the user stops playing the audiobook.
– The user can share the name of the playing audiobook from inside the app with her/his friends through social networks.

The app is still in alpha version with plans for an update with the Beta version to be on the Play Market by the end of June. It will eventually have the full list of titles in Masmoo3 audio library; more than 85 audiobooks and around 120 kids stories.

On the other hand, The iPhone app is planned to be launched by the end of July. An Alpha version for iPhone might be launched by the end of June as well.

Masmoo3 is a graduate from the Jordanian startup accelerator “Oasis 500”. This growing startup has received ahref=”http://arabcrunch.com/2011/09/oasis500-jordanian-startups-masmoo3-and-dakwak-receive-funding.html” target=”_blank”>received funding from angle investor “Ihab Al Ramlawi” in 2011, and that was the only fund they have raised so far.
