Jordanian startup VitalTronix develops iPhone app that can detect heart pulse using its camera

Jordanian startup accelerators Oasis500 is doing well, one of their recent startups is VitalTornix which is developing mobile personal medical solutions.

The startup has developed an app that can detect heart pulse and that can alert the patient doctor of any problems, the app uses the iPhone camera to detect the pulse after pointing it to the finger or by the ear and the cam will detect blood color change thus determining the pulse speed and informing the partient if his heart is working well. It can also detect the well being of the heart by asking the patient a serias of questions.

Majed Jarar CEO of VitalTornix told Jordanian newspaper Alghad that the app was tested in comparison to a medical device and the results showed 95% accuracy for the app. He also said that his startup is working on other medical measurements such as blood pressure, weight, and diabetes, the app will be available on the iTuens app store soon.
