63.6% of Lebanese smartphone users use applications
A new Arab Advisors Group’s survey of cellular users in the Lebanon reveals insightful details on the smartphones adoption and usage patterns. The survey also probed general cellular usage habits, smartphones awareness in addition to tablets availability among cellular users in Lebanon. Lebanon smartphone survey follows the four smartphone survey reports concluded in Jordan, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
The survey revealed that 37.1% of the total cellular handsets in Lebanon are smartphones. The majority of smartphone users who use applications prefer them in the English language.
Respondents were randomly called through a randomly generated table of cellular phone numbers for each of the two cellular operators in Lebanon: MTC Touch and Alfa. The survey results encompass answers from 750 cellular users. ArabAdvisors says the survey yields a confidence level of 99% with a margin of error of less than 5%.
“When respondents were asked about their cellular handset brands, Nokia was in the lead. Moreover, amongst households that use tablets, Apple’s iPad was the leader.” Ms. Noura Abdulhadi, Arab Advisors Project Manager, commented.
The Arab Advisors Group divided the survey questionnaire into seven main sections:
General information on respondents
General cellular usage habits
Cellular handset brands
Smartphones adoption and usage patterns
Detailed analysis of cellular handset models
