Tenmou A New Startup Seed Investment Company from Bahrain, Open To All Sectors

3 Jul, 2011

We are witnessing a growth in the number of seed stage investment and accelerator hubs in the region. There is Oasis500 and Medyan in Jordan, Tahrir sq in Alexandria Egypt and PlugAndPlay in Cairo Egypt. N2V is planning to launch its own, and now we have Tenmou.

Tenmou which is based in Bahrain does not offer a fiscal space, but cash investment and mentorship and it does not solely focus on tech startups but on any sector as long as the idea is innovative and can spread beyond the Bahraini market.

The investor hub is open to anyone but as its FAQ says its hard to invest in non Bahraini entrepreneurs.

Tenmou offers funding up to BD20,000 in the first round and 3 month monitorship in which after that entrepreneurs can present in an investor day. The hub is open to applicants in batches, first batch deadline is on 10th January 2011. To know more about the process you can go here.

I am happy that seed stage funding and accelerator programs are growing in numbers in the Arab world.
