Jordanian Gaming Startup is Launching First Arabic Facebook 3D Game in 4 Days #OperationArabia

Jordan based Wizards Productions which develops Arabic and English social and MMO games is launching the first Arabic MMO 3D in browser facebook game titled Operation Arabia in 4 days in private beta mood, this will also be beginning of the holly month of Ramadan.

In Operation Arabia users can play with their facebook friends by choosing between Special forces or Militia fighter to fight in terranes that look like actual Arab cities: Amman ( Abdon bridge), Petra, Riyadh Towers and Dubai. Players can customize the looks of fighter they are playing with and the weapons. The game seems to be inspired by the popular game “Counter Strike.” The game was development and designed in the Arab region, users have to download a plug in to their web browser in order to play it is called unity. The game is free however users can buy in-game items such weapons armors and so on. Which is the business model of the game.

Wizard Productions has launched this week a new version of its facebook Arabic casual game for Arab female called , HawaStyle, its a game where a female player starts as a fashion designer and then grows to have her own store.

Wizards Productions was founded in December 2008 by exMaktoob team ( Maktoob is Yahoo now). In September 2009, Wizards Productions acquired GO3 the Canadian Gaming Company to broaden its service offering to English speaking internet users in the Middle East, Europe, and North America. Wizards product portfolio include 9 online games and 4 under development.

The startup has secured funding from Jordan based VC IV Holdings, angel investors and from Ossama Faiyad, former Yahoo Data chief Officer and current Chairman of Jordan’s startup accelerator Oasis500.
