Android Market place is currently blocked across the Middle East, however news surfaced on Stuff Middle East that Android market is coming soon to UAE, Egypt, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

A source informed Stuff that Google has reached agreement with telecom operators in these countries, though no final date is given but the market is expected to be available in few months. We will contact google and update you here.

I have Android Market place in Jordan… It is not blocked.. How is that possible?

I would hate to see them blocking it all over the Arab World just like Apple does.

I bought a Nexus S (not an iPhone) because of that.. Why would they do that?

hi, i’m not an arabhater or anything but i want to say that turks are not arabs, but you’ve said “blocked across the Arab world, however news surfaced on Stuff Middle East that Android market is coming soon to UAE, Egypt, Turkey and Saudi Arabia…”

i love arabs, but i’m not arab because i’m turkish. i guess this general misunderstanding is because of the fact that most turks are muslims. but if we called all christians europeans what would the poor americans, canadians, brazilians etc think?
