Apple’s Ping Censoring the Name Osama?
Update: some users reported not seeing the censorship.

We received a tip from one of our readers saying that Apple has censored the word Osama adding *** after the “O” and before the “a” in its new music social network Ping with iTunes.
We have not tested Ping yet, but if this is true it sounds very racists as there are millions of people who hold the name Osama and they do not work with Osama Bin Ladin!
In the technology world, the name Osama which means “lion” is being held by some of silicon valley executives from Arab origins:
Osama Bedir Vice President Product Development PayPal
Osama Fiyad Former Vice President Yahoo.
Osama General Partner with Global Technology Innovation Partners (GTIP) & TechWadi Chairman.
We will email Apple asking for clarifications.
#Thanks Osama Othman for the tip.
