Updated: Tizmos: Access your Favorite Websites Instantly Anywhere

30 May, 2010

Update below.

Every Internet user has his favorite websites that are accessed almost daily, Tizmos (ArabCurnch.NET profile) comes to help by giving you a web interface that displays a thumbnails of your favorite websites allowing you to access them quickly.

Unlike other browser plugins, Tizmos is web based giving you universal site that saves you time rather than going to your browser bookmark and then choosing your site from there or going to the navigation pan to enter the URL.

All you need to do is create a new user and start adding your favorite sites’ urls.

Opera which is considered  fastest browser in the world has a similar service called Speed Dial which can also be synchronized along with bookmarks and other browser data with your other Opera browsers such as Opera Mini for your mobile. Safari and Chrome have similar options but with no synchronizations options.

Update: Tizmos cofounded by Ahmad Hammad from Jordan and living in UK and Feras Hirzalla.

@Omar : LOL I don’t think Gaith meant to upset you :) he just posted opera’s advertised slogan “The fastest browser on earth” since the release of version 10.5

And for some it’s really the fastest browser, you can search for benchmarks or you can check the one I just searched for you ;)

Oops I forgot to comment on Tizmos

Well, Tizmos is a cool idea and I think Ahmed is a talented developer, he has another project, theusabilitypage.com which I think is a great idea, AC should review this project too.

As for Mobile under my test I see Opera web browser faster than what Nokia provides in x6

Thank you Gaith for the review.

We are working on some new features coming in the near future. I would also like to note that it was developed with my co-founder Feras Hirzalla.

@Mamod : Well, thanx for this, I forgot about the slogan :) . And thanx for the article it’s great

@Ghaith : No I think you have to use “Earth” as the slogan :)
I’m with you regarding the mobile browser, I’m sure it’s faster than the Nokia browser. But on computers I think this is different. Thanx for the videos, I didn’t know the Opera is much better than Chrome, but I use Firefox anyway :)

I think Chrome is promising, and what Google does for Mobile browsing is a great thing, you can check the Day 2 Keynotes of Google IO 2010. I would definitly use Opera when it becomes Open Source ;)

@omar, Opera is better on windows than Fire fox, FF eats memory and PC resources.

Do you know that Opera is the only company in the world that does browsers only? plz correct me if I am mistaken !

remember Netscape the startup that pioneered the web that we have today, remember when Microsoft killed it with making IE free and then pre-installing it on every PC. Opera on the other hand from Norway survived, they were innovative managed to get cash via new monetization models and continued its innovations.
