#arabnetme A Global Trending Topic on Twitter For The Second Day- Not a Terrorist Summit!

26 Mar, 2010

Yesterday and today ArabNet conference has been running in Beirut in lebanon brining together the Arab Internet industry a long with few startups.

The conference is well organized and has managed to get fans and advocates across the Arab world who is tweeting massively, this resulted in making #arabnetme a global trending topic on Twitter since yesterday, but a counter move by some haters called it a Terrorist Summit!

I have made few video interviews with a number of Venture Capitalist but was not able to upload them since the Internet here in Lebanon ironiclly is really bad. I will do more interviews today and give you my view about the conference soon.

    Ghaith, salam,

just wanted to say that the guy who tweeted yesterday about #Arabnetme as terrorists event was joking about @evgenymorozov remarks on the Internet use in the MENA by terrorrists. U should not take his/her tweet seriously. I’m not sure if we are referring to the same tweet.

    cheers
