Yahoo! Launches Arabic Search via Maktoob

This is the first time a fully supported Yahoo! search engine has been available in Arabic and is currently in its first phase on Maktoob.com . And this is the first integration step between Maktoob and Yahoo after the acquisition!
Yahoo Arabic search is run on Yahoo!’s own search engine not Microsoft’s bing. Yahoo Arabic search competes not just with Google’s Arabic search but with Jabbar Group’s Araby search engine, which used to be part of Maktoob Group !

Does anyone know of a comparison study of the main arabic search engines? AC should do one if such a comparison does not exist.

I have a short review of Arabic Search engines on my blog, not that comprehensive but it gives an idea of its current state. I have to update it with Yahoo now.
