Aljazeera English Head of Online Mohamed Nanabhay Became Investor In Seesmic

Mohamed Nanabhay is the person who founded Al Jazeera’s New Media group, which was responsible for many of Aljazeera’s online innovation and now is leading the Al Jazeera English online operations and serves as website Editor-in-Chief.

Few days ago, the news was buzzing over the Internet when one of the most popular Twitter’s Desktop and mobile clients Seesmic acquired ping.fm a service that can update your status to 50 social networks through e-mail, IM (my favorite), SMS or the web.

But which was not covered is that Mohamed was an angle investor in Ping.fm since last year. which in later stage Joi Ito one of the first angel investors in Twitter it self and Reid Hoffman of Linkedin Invested another angle round to ping.fm. And with this acquisition Mohammad became an Investor in Seesmic.

Mohamed told ArabCrunch that he has other investments but “not disclosed for the time being.”

Before Mohamed’s 5 years work in Doha, Qatar with AJ, he co-founded a web development company and a large online portal.
