ShooFeeTV, the Internet startup from Jordan that provides Satellite TV-related entertainment in the Arab World, has launched today in a party held in Amman Jordan, its free-to-air satellite channel.

The channel brings viewers programming schedules of over 120 free-to-air and paid satellite channels; programming and celebrity information; video clips; photographs; entertainment news and more. Channel’s viewers will be able to access these features in a dynamic ways divided into three sections: the Rolling Grid, the Video Section and the Interactive Section.

The Rolling Grid features listings for programs appearing in the next hour and a half as well as weather forecasts and featured programs.
The Video Section contains a number of ShooFeeTV’s unique entertainment programs, such as ShooF Wa Sharek, ShooFeeTV Video Podcast, ShooFeeTV Aflam, ShooFeeTV Football and many others.

The channel’s Interactive Section brings viewers a host of entertaining games, competitions, polls and quizzes. This section also serves as a link between viewers and their favorite channels, enabling them to voice their opinions and thoughts on the various programs being broadcasted.

ArabCrunch was present at the event, where I live streamed the presentation of ShooFeeTV’s founder and CEO Amjad Tadros on AC channel on Qik, where he mentioned that ShooFeeTV offers its services along with online now satellite channel, via SMS notifications, newspaper listing, podcasts and soon via free iPhone and Symbian apps .

The 3 year old Jordanian startup received investments from Intel Capital and IV Holding. ShooFeeTV’s satellite channel has begun broadcasting from the Jordan Media City early in July. The channel is on Arab Sat.

ShoowFeeTV services seems interesting and useful specially it helps you find what to watch and when, but Just to be frank I hate the celebrity section and I found it lame that people follow such silly and shallow people like Nanasi Ajram who is well known for “Boos El wawa!”
