For Twitter automation i've got to say Twimbo from iq143.com was one of the easiest to set up and one of the more intelligent bots.

It only took a few minutes to set up and it's currently priced low for early adopters. My traffic has doubled since using it and I now have a great following on Twitter. I've even had new paying customers as a result! Winner.

thanks ghaith for the nice article,
Hiconomics, I agree that this can be used in the way you imagined. but we tend to provide this info even without this service. when i travel for instance i do say I am in this city or that city in order to let my friends know. so it just automate a behaviour we usually do ..

on the other hand somone have done that before as a person who announced that he is leaving to another city on twitter, got back to find his place in a mess. we will always have negative use of any service. but usually useful services survive over the long run

Looks pretty cool... and I like the use of the Cloud for this app. Thanks for sharing...

On a more negative level, is it just me or does anyone else think the level and ease of which we are sharing information will come back to bite us one day?

I can just imagine some malicious followers of a Twtri user, using this information in a negative way. eg. you know they are travelling, you know when they are travelling and when they are in the air... if you know their house/address... then that spells trouble.

Personally, I would only share this type of information on tighter social network... and not one where you can push it out to everyone...
