16 May, 2009

(These 2 interview were live streamed on Qik via my Nokia 5800, I’ll post more live interviews on Qik throughout the day tomorrow, inshallah follow me on twitter @3GFalcon and @ArabCrunch for updates.))

Matthias Lüfkens is the social media manager of World Economic Forum (WEF), in this interview I asked him about how WEF uses social media to promote its activities:

Yael Maguire, PHD is one of the Forums Young Global Leaders and the founder and CTO of ThingMagic, a Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA startup that is specializing in RFID (radio frequency identification) readers, sensors, and other embedded and low cost computing technologies. The company was a garage startup, but later got funding of around 20 million USD$.

In this interview Yael talks about ThingMagic, Young Global Leaders (YGL) and his plans to add RFID to the iPhone:

Very interesting interviews. I’m fascinated with the RFID technology in particular as it seems to have a great deal of potential for changing inventories and object tracking.
