Thanks for the in depth coverage of Woopra. Glad everyone is loving their pre-approved invites to Woopra. Woopra 1.3 Beta is going to be awesome. Elie has just finished adding a fantastic Theme Editor to allow customization of the colors of your Woopra site panel on a per site basis. Lovely!

Stats are also getting better with custom reports.

I’m still against the idea of spending time monitoring your visitors behavior all day long in real-time instead of building your startup. Nevertheless, web analytic is very important. Take a quick look at it once a day and a deep look once a week then use the info to optimize your website.

There is nothing that you have to get in real-time to provide a better experience to your visitors.

@Ali the nice thing about the desktop app is that you can switch immediately to see your latest traffic data easily, that is efficient in a multi tabs browser world.

@Ammar: real time Analytics is helpful in many situations: for example you can measure your online ad campaign effectives in real time to tweak it if you say something went wrong, you get alerted when lets say you where dugg or slashdoted, thus you can do necessary changes: for example when one of AC’s post was slashdotted unexpectedly with woopra’s I made appropriate changes to manage the traffic spike . read more here : http://www.woopra.com/blog/2009/03/19/on-the-railroad-tracks-with-woopra/

Don’t get me wrong, I’m very proud of Woopra and all Arab startups. But seriously, who needs real-time analytics?! You shouldn’t take any decision based on analytics that is less than a week period.

I rely heavily on analytics and I’ll still be happy with even a whole day delay.

FYI: first-in-first-out should be first-come, first-served (FCFS)
