Finally iPhone Supports Arabic.

24 Mar, 2009

No more Jailbreaking, now Apple has added Arabic language support in their latest iPhone OS 3.0. The update is currently available as a beta for iPhone developers. The iPhone is now available in 4 Arabic speaking countries: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan and Egypt. And it will be available in Qatar soon (any one from Qatar ping me once it is launched there.)

From reading about iPhone  reviews online and from asking friends, iPhone is a true mini-computer, much better than  the other mobile rivals attempts to replicate it. However its short coming is its price. (via Saudi TechView   and SaudiMac  ).

    Hi,

    regarding the point you mentioned:

“iPhone is a true mini-computer, much better than the other mobile rivals attempts to replicate it.”

i think we have many of the mini-computers long before iphone came to the scene.

Symbian, WindowsCE, PalmOS, Windows Mobile… etc.

so, i see that iphone is actually the one which tried to replicate things by making a new PDA OS, but they did it smartly with a nice interface that attracted users.

never the less, i believe Windows Mobile is much more capable of acting like a mini-computer, as it’s OS is more open, and more powerfull applications can be built on it!

iphone is a nice looking mobile, with nice interface to act as a PDA.
while windows mobile started more than 10 years ago as a dedicated PDA, then the mobile feature was added to it, so it is a PDA with mobile functionalities.

till this point, Windows Mobile is more powerfull OS that lacks the cool interface that iphone has..

eventually, let’s see what Microsoft is cooking up for WM6.5, and what Apple is doing with iphone3.0!

i’m sticking with WM until i see iphone as a true mini-computer!

After all cool interface is a major point, as u said iPhone wins.
there r thousands of apps built for iPhone.
however it is pricey but at least iPhone offers you what they publish about it. Unlike its rivels in which i ment here Nokia for example who say something and offer you something else that does not work, like Nokia 5800!
