Wikimania 2008 will be held in Alexandria, Egypt on July.

Alexandria will be hosting Wikimania 2008 on July 17-19 in the prestigious new Library of Alexandria (Bibliotheca Alexandrina).

Wikimania is a conference held yearly for users of the Wikimedia Foundation projects, including Wikipedia, Wikinews, etc.

The conferment will include Presentations, Scientific tracks, Workshops / Tutorials.Wikimania 2008 is an open event, and everyone are welcome to register with a small fee.

The first Wikimania conference was held in Frankfurt, Germany, on August 4-8, 2005. The second conference was held in Boston, USA, on August 4-6, 2006 and the third one was held in Taipei, Taiwan, on August 3-5, 2007. While the Wikimania 2009 will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Arabic is gaining popularity among Wikimedia projects. The Arabic Wikipedia. Which started on 2003 has now about 58,939 articles published.

Vodafone and Mobinil Launch iPhone 3G in Egypt

It is official iPhone 3G is now available in Egypt via Vodafone and mobinil, making Egypt the first Arab country to have a iPhone 3G officially.
Vodafone Egypt’s website announced the availability of iPhone 3G, so does mobinil’s website . I also saw an ad for Vodafone announcing the availability on MBC TV.
I do not have enough information about the pricing [...]
